Animation Principles - Practice

TASKS

Students must complete and submit 3 individual 3D Scenes and movies as follows:

1) Body Poses - Happiness, Sadness, Anger, Confusion

Using the provided humanoid Boney Rig, students must create 4 distinct body poses and gestures, to express;

* Happiness / * Sadness / * Anger / * Confusion

The humanoid Boney poses must be keyframed within the same Maya scene, using 'stepped' tangents to transition between them.

2) Bouncing and rolling ball

Using the provided AIT Ball Rig, students must complete a realistic Bouncing Ball animation.  The Ball must bounce several times to decreasing heights as it loses energy, and then roll along the ground to a stop. It must incorporate realistic (not cartoony) sense of diminishing squash and stretch.

3) Squirrel Leap with Overlapping Tail

Using the provided AM Squirrel Rig and Maya Scene, students must animate the Squirrel anticipating before leaping from one tree branch to another.  Cartoony Squash and Stretch, and effective Overlapping Action on the tail must be incorporated.  The Squirrel can finish with an appealing facial expression, such as a smile.
